Ingredients for Steak and Kidney Pie:   

• 400g puff pastry
• 1 kilo chuck steak, trimmed and cut into 2 cm square
• 250g lambs kidney
• 200g button mushrooms
• 40g plain flour
• 2 large onions, finely sliced
• 2 cloves garlic, crushed
• 1 tablespoon thyme, chopped
• 60g butter
• olive oil
• 700ml good beef stock, approx
• salt and black pepper
• 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
• Egg
• 2 litre/3 ½ pint deep pie dish
