Along with her television career, writing and acting as a "freelance head chef" at large private functions, Rosemary Shrager, the ebullient and vivacious chef, has been running her cookery School for six years to wide acclaim. It was voted one of the top ten cookery schools in the UK (The Observer October 2001 and House and Garden May 2002).
In 2003, she moved her school from Amhuinnsuidhe Castle in the Hebrides to Swinton Park, a luxury castle hotel in North Yorkshire. Swinton Park's converted Georgian stables house the traditionally decorated kitchen which has been designed to the highest specification.
Both the kitchen and the dining room overlook the castle turret and parkland, and create the perfect balance of warmth and intimacy for Rosemary's courses, which require concentration and hard work, but which are also enormous fun.
