FAQs

Will I be sharing a workstation?

Each guest will work together in pairs on their own personal workstation so that you can get hands on with each recipe. Our experienced chef tutors know that not everyone learns at the same pace, or in the same way, and so whilst students work together in pairs, students will also receive plenty of individual attention from us.

What happens to the food I cook, do I get to take it home?

Most of the classes are designed so that guests eat some of the delicious dishes they create during the class for lunch. Everything else is yours to take away and impress your family and friends. We will provide you with containers and bags to carry them in. However, if you would like to bring your own you are more than welcome to.

Do I need to bring an apron?

No. We will provide you with your own cookery school apron. Should you wish to take one home, aprons are available to buy on the day.

What clothing and footwear should I wear?

Guests on courses are advised to wear comfortable shoes with flat, non-slip soles and covered toes and for clothing we recommend trousers and a long sleeved top.

Will I have to do any washing up!

No! We are here to make sure you have the most enjoyable time so our team will take care of all the clearing and washing up.

Will lunch be provided?

Yes. Our classes are designed so that you get to enjoy the food you’ve cooked for lunch, accompanied by a glass of wine. Classes that do not involve cooking lunch will include a delicious light lunch.

How long are the classes?

All of the classes start at 10am and we will introduce you to your day over freshly baked pastries and a cup of tea or coffee. Our half day classes will finish at approximately 1.30pm and for our one day classes we aim to finish by 3pm.

Can children under the age of 18 attend cookery classes?

We run several classes during the school holidays for children and teenagers aged between 8 and 17. Unless stated all other classes are for adults aged 18 and over.

Do I need to be an experienced cook to come on a class?

We welcome all levels and abilities on all of our classes. For those who have never tried the technique or skill being covered we will give you all the help and support you need to get great results first time. And for those more confident in the kitchen we will help you to refine and improve your techniques to enjoy your cooking even more.

I have an allergy/intolerance. Will you be able to accommodate my needs?

In the majority of cases we will be able to make adjustments where possible. Some classes are however unsuitable for people with particular intolerances – where the menu would need to be completely different. Please let our reservation team know before booking to discuss any relevant dietary requirements. We must speak to you before your visit if you have a severe allergy, mild allergy, severe dietary intolerance, or are unable to eat any meat or animal products. There are a very few classes that cannot successfully be adapted to accommodate a certain dietary requirement. If this is the case we will be more than happy to recommend a class to suit your needs.
