About the Course
Get ready, set and bake, as we welcome baking expert, cook, stylist and TV presenter Juliet Sear for a fun and informative masterclass.
In this hands-on course, you’ll learn how to make Juliet’s showstopping three-layer cookie cake, including Swiss meringue buttercream filling and assembling meringue kisses. The ‘mother of all dishes’ will guide you through decorating tips and tricks – using fresh fruit and edible flowers – to create this beautiful and versatile cake that’s perfect for any occasion.
As one of the UK’s leading ‘cakeologists’ and food stylists, Juliet is a regular presenter on ITV’s This Morning, and has made edible for creations for a whole host of celebrities throughout her cooking career, including Sir Ian McKellen, Bryan Adams, Prince Harry and Kate Moss. For the second-year running, she designed and created the edible animated characters for Channel 4's Great British Bake Off advertising campaigns.
With her no-nonsense, down-to-Earth approach, she’ll help you make one of her most impressive and technical bakes using creative and innovative culinary flair!
Full Day Class Structure
On arrival, we will introduce you to your day over freshly baked croissants and a cup of tea or coffee.
Your day will include of a mixture of hands on cookery and demonstrations performed by our team of chef’s. The exact format will vary from class to class depending on the style of cuisine and their individual teaching style.
Cooking with your classmates is an integral part of your cookery experience. You will cook your recipes in pairs, and some independently – whatever the ratio, there is always more than enough food, and often food to take home too!
You will be eating the food that you have cooked for lunch, accompanied by a glass of wine around the dining table. Classes that do not involve cooking lunch will include a delicious light lunch.
This course starts at 10.00am and finishes at approximately 3.00pm
Allergies and Intolerances
We are happy to make adjustments where possible. Some classes are however unsuitable for people with particular intolerances – where the menu would need to be completely different. Please call the school to discuss any relevant allergies with a member of staff. We must speak to you before your visit if you have a severe allergy, mild allergy, severe dietary intolerance, or are unable to eat any meat or animal products. This beautiful cookie cake is so versatile. It’s perfect for every occasion; for example for a birthday, using an initial or number, or a lovely alternative to a wedding cake, using the wedding party’s initials. It can be made in any flavour or colour scheme, using different decorations each time. With knowledge and understanding of this recipe and design you’ll be ready for any and every celebration!
