We reserve the right to cancel or change the date of a course where necessary or it is impractical for a course to run effectively. By booking on any of our courses you agree to abide by our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to make amendments to the class content and recipes without notice. In the event that the principal instructor is unable to teach a course due to illness or other matters beyond our control, we reserve the right to run the course using a deputy in their place. You must be 18 years or over to attend our cookery courses with the exception of our Junior and Teenage Gourmet classes, where you must be 8 – 16 years old to attend. It is your responsibility to inform us in advance of any allergies or special requirements.
On occasions you will use equipment that includes induction hobs. It is recommended that people with pace makers should not work on these units. If you are concerned or would like to check whether or not induction hobs will be used on the course you are attending, please call us on 01892 528700.
Please note, we do not take provisional bookings, all payments should be made in full at the time of booking. We cannot confirm your place on a course until we receive full payment. We strongly recommend travel insurance for all attendees that will cover your costs in the event of you being unable to attend your course.
Refunds are not available on gift voucher purchases nor can be exchanged for cash. Gift vouchers are transferable, so if you are unable to make your course, you may contact us to nominate a replacement. Should you wish to extend the expiry date of your gift voucher for a further three months, 10% of the voucher's full value will be charged, or for a further six months, 20% of the voucher's full value will be charged.
Health and Safety
To minimise risk, all attendees should wear comfortable shoes with flat, non-slip soles and covered toes. Casual clothing is recommended, please note we are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing. Long hair must be tied back in the kitchen. All of our students will receive a short briefing on health and safety before commencing the course, as well as a printed handout to take with them.
Cancellation by You
Cancellations with prior notice of 5 working days or less from the course date will mean that the course will still be charged at the full fee.
Cancellations with prior notice of 15 working days or less (but more than 5 working days) from the course date will mean that the course will be transferred up to the same value (subject to availability), but that no refund will be offered. We will charge you a fee of £25.00 to cover our reasonable administration costs for doing so.
Cancellation by you with prior notice of more than 15 working days from the course date will mean that you will receive a full refund. Should you transfer your booking to another course, we will charge you a rebooking fee of £25.00.
We reserve the right not to process any cancellations where you are unable to provide the original booking confirmation.
This policy also applies to bookings made using a gift voucher and will be applied upon re-booking.
Cancellation by Us
If we cancel the course for any reason we will seek to organise an alternative date within a reasonable period of time. If this is not possible, or you are unable to attend an alternative date, we will refund the full purchase price.
We are not to be held liable for any third-party costs, such as travel bookings or accommodation.
